We are just back from a few weeks touring Europe. During the time away we saw vans with solar lights on the side of the van. I have these on our drive, as you walk up the drive these lights come on.
I was talking to one English owner, he had them on for security, his idea was anyone up to no good would steer clear as the light would put them off. He had stuck his on with double sided tape.
Do any funsters have these, if so how do you attach

I did see one last year on a Brit van.
It wasn’t solar, it was the original awning light with a smart bulb in it and a separate remote PIR sensor which was on a magnetic holder attached to the PVC body.
It was all connected via Alexa and as the pir sensed movement, it would switch on the light.
He said it was good as he only attached the sensor when he wanted and could switch light on or off when he wanted.

A friend of mine had ptsd, and fixed up lights that go on and off as you move around the van, so he could keep tabs on outside movements. You'd think it would be unbearable! I don't think it lasted. I don't remember much about how it worked.

Our van is a PVC, so I use one similar to this when parked up, stuck a couple of strong magnets on the back. It even survived the couple of times I forgot to take it in when leaving
