I'm a newbie had a wobbly box when adam was a lad
The controller on the left is the one I fitted on the right is the original there are 2 wires 1 orange and white other is red should I connect them to the new controller or just ignore them as I've fitted more solar on the roof hence the new controller

Are the original wires still connected to solar? if so move. If to the battery just disconnect

Are the both charging the same batteries.
You don't want 2 controllers serving the same battery bank.

If the new controller can take the voltage and amps, combine the solar panels on the roof and all through one.

I’ve got multiple charging sources charging the same battery bank, including two MPPT controllers, one 30A, the other 50A. Ther is no issue with this and preferred to having miss matched solar panels which could drop solar yield considerably.

I can also switch on a 30A mains charger or 80A dc dc charger all in parallel.

Two battery controllers, each running off different panels, is a good setup as it reduces the impact of partial shading. But, they need to be as close a match as possible and typically will be identical models.

As this doesn't seem to be the case in your MH I would remove the old one, assuming the new one has sufficient rating for the combined panels.

Well we'll well I didn't know that, I thought an mppt and a cheapo pwm to the same bank disrupted the power output of the mppt by seeing the pwms charge.

My mistake, apols op.

Thx carpmart

they are only connected to the battery connections of the controller, think they may be to the built in controller ill just isolate them

Rip it out, it just draining your battery doing nothing, without any solar into it.

Never just connect anything up without knowing what they are or where they go. Colours are irrelevant as you never know what a previous installer has done. Decide what you have, what you want to achieve and how you need to do it.
