Hi all, a friend has a burstner harmony line, 20 plate, hes thinking his solar charger is only connected to the leisure batteries, lòoking at the pic is it a simple job of connecting the charger to the cab battery via the spare connections as shown in the picture.thanks in advance chris

That is a very old controller to fitted in a 202van, oy really suitable for Gel batteries.
There is an output on it for connecting to the starter battery it should be marked although in German. Can be connect to the starter battery either direct or via the Elektroblock.

Thanks lenny, is that the top spade connector in the pic for the positive and the one hidden at the bottom for the negative and just wire both to the respective terminals on the battery?
 
Yes or via EBL, if he has the standard fit AGM batteries they won't last very long with that controller it's totally unsuitable.
It's a single stage charger with a 14.2v output no float or absorbtion charge
 
In addition to what Lenny HB said the solar regulator is an old fashioned PWM one. You will get more charge from an MPPT regulator. Look for one made by Votronic or Victron.
