Hello from New Zealand

I installed a SOG into my CT3000 as per the instructions.

However, the fan runs continuously, because it is switched on by a micro switch on the wall on the side of the cassette.

With no cassette installed, pressing the micro switch turns the fan on.

Please can you help?

Thanks

Which sog unit have you installed?
Maybe you need to adjust the spring on the micro switch.

I installed a door mounted 3000a system. The microswitch is properly adjusted

Update. I removed the magnet from the cassette to manually trigger the reed switch. Nothing happened until I put the magnet next to the reed switch (not in line as it would be when installed). Reversing the magnet made no difference. So it may be a faulty magnet or reed switch.

I think there may be some confusion here.
The magnet within the cassette should operate the “full” cassette light.
The sog is operated by the flap assembly triggering the micro switch.

It sounds as though the cassette being installed triggers the micro switch. It should be when the flap is opened that it operates. Is the micro switch installed in the correct place and correctly?
Having made my own SOG, the micro switch just interrupts a positive connection on mine, but when I initially installed it, it also ran permanently. It was user error as I had wired it up wrong!
