Hi

Another toilet type thread, I am afraid.

I have recently purchased a door venting SOG for a Thetford C250 to fit to our new motorhome.

I am confused regarding the measuring for the hole position of the fan unit from the supplied instructions. I am hoping someone has fitted one recently and may be able to clarify for me.

For measuring for the hole position: “For exact positioning, place a ruler ( flat material) on the sanitary sewage tank (1) with the cartridge inserted. Measure the height from the base to the upper edge of the flat material”
It is not clear to me what they are calling the base. I assume it is the bottom of the cartridge however the picture looks like they may be referring to the base of the door.

The next instruction is: “Close the service door, transfer the measured height onto the middle if the door”.
Again, I am not sure where I am taking the measurement from. Is it the bottom if the door or where the plastic trim meets the aluminum door plate.

I asked the supplier, however he also said that he was confused by the instructions.

Thanks for looking

Is your cassette hard against the door as in your 2nd picture or is there actually a bit of space in there? If you have space you wont need to bother with those instructions.

Its close to the door, so will need to get the hole in the right place.

I think it's basically saying you want the centre of the hole to be 20mm above the guys ruler. That means when the fan is fitted the unit fits in beside the cassette outlet pipe.

I get that bit, its where to take the base measurements from that isnt clear to me.
Thanks

Base of the door. Is the bottom of the inner door frame and bottom of at the same height?

If so then measure from the base of the inner door frame when the door is open then base of the door when it is closed.
