Yes indeed, when I first went to buy it (conditoon of purchase that we went on a weighbridge), when I up plated it and several times since, my local council one don't charge if you just want it written on a bit of paper - £15 if you need the ticket.

Our 7.5m low profile with tiny garage comes in at 2.2t on our 2.4t rear axle so anybody with a 2.0t rear axle and garage needs to get to a weighbridge asap
