Snow warning

Just been online looking at the Ventusky web site. I usually find it reasonably reliable, it's looking like the large area surrounding Barnard Castle, Kirkby Stephen and Appleby is going to have between 8-11 inches of standing snow between the 22nd and 24th of November.
Its a while since we have had such significant snow this early. I know it's 12 days away but I think it's worth keeping it in mind if you plan to go that way. With any luck it could all change by then.

I use the windy app quite a bit for waether I think anything over three days is largely guesswork on any forecast

12 days in advance, I think it's mostly guesswork.
Looks like they are sensationalising the weather in the same way daily papers do ?

Kirkby stephen is one of my favourite places

Mum lived at Ravenstonedale just outside of Kirkby. Loved staying over there. She had a large house on the side of the hill with magnificent views.
Beautiful area if a bit rugged.

From what I can make out this originates with WX Charts who made the prediction of a risk of snow covering a very large area. Not that the whole area would be at high risk, just that within that area there was a risk.
Of course The Express ran with it.

The snow map shows the winter storm stretching from England to Germany.

Basically boils down to. Somewhere between england, germany and the netherlands there is a risk of snow somewhere.

I will believe it when I see it or it appears in the short term forecasts (2-3 day)
