Newbie!
I have been trying to find a set of Snow Chains for our Adria Matrix on a Fiat Ducato chassis (225 x 75 x 16) in readiness for our up coming trip to France but I am struggling to find out which ones will fit and more importantly perform well if we should ever need them.
I have checked the manual and there is no reference to Snow chains. Online searches have confused me even more. So the question is, Have any of you good people tried and tested a good set of chains at a reasonable price and if so would you recommend them?
Many thanks in advance.

We use our snow chains almost every time we take the MoHo skiing... frustratingly we need to fit them for the last few hundred meters when entering the campsite or trying to manouver into parking spot. Very occasionally we've needed them to get down the mountain after heavy snowfall, for example exiting Val Thorens, France. Most of the time M&S tyres are sufficient but sometimes its impossible to proceed safely without the extra traction.
Just reading the instructions is not enough so be sure to rehearse/practice fitting them as its easy to "forget" the technique.... thats made much more difficult when its snowing and minus 5 degrees!! I always keep a good set of gloves, rainproof overtrousers/jacket and a mat to kneel on.
Remove them...
I just bought the cheapest that would fit, as I just wanted to comply with the French rules by carrying them. I have no intention of using them.
That’s what I did.

I had no idea how to fit them either :giggle:

These would do the job. Reasonable price too. Double check the size chart 👍

I might be able to help you with this. I bought a set 6months ago from a funster to have when I went to Austria but didn’t use them. I’ll check the size I’m sure they are the same.

I'd have a read of this
You may find you do not need them if you already have M&S tyres, well at least until 1st November 2024. I'd seriously avoid snow chains unless you really need them. I've fitted them many times to cars in the past and when its about -5C its not a lot of fun! It really is a lot of hard work to get them on correctly. Nice and easy when you practice putting them on at home with no snow around, but when its freezing cold and the snow is deep its no fun at all.

Remove them asap once you reach good tarmac... usually where the snow plough has been AND where there's a regular flow of traffic.

We've also got an Adria Matrix/Ducato with tyre size 225/75 R16.
Snow chains are Konig - Zip Transport # 245.

Another important tip is to have something to put them in when you remove them. It’s a shock how much water thee release

Thanks for the advice, I'll take a look at them.
