Smallest motorhome...

So I can continue this thread by telling you my Wildax Pulsar was delivered today and I love it.......phew! Obviously lots to learn but it is just as I had hoped. Thank you all, freedom beckons once more, and I would never have found it without reading this thread.

Congratulations - it looks really cool. Loving the double sliding doors. 👍

Enjoy!

Brilliant - congratulations and welcome to the bijou world of Pulsarians! !!

They're my absolute favourite feature in my Pulsar, for some any reasons.
Why?
I've just noticed that a 2nd door is a £350 option on the new Solaris XL...
Wouldn't work [without a lot of adjustment] on the Aurora

I'd asked Duncan about the possibility on an Aurora... Apparently not.
There are 2 features that I'd like but which aren't possible in a Pulsar, but I'd miss the double sliders more.
Why?
- Light, fresh air, through-draft etc, I often have both doors open and both have fly-screens
- Being able to access either side is great in foul weather & useful in narrow parking spaces
- If the wind direction changes I can still have a door open without moving the van; with a seat as a longitudinal bench (both will do this) I can lounge in an open door at whichever side the wind isn't
- Use as a car (if I had passengers!) would be simpler - and I really like the 2 separate rear travel seats rather than a transverse bench
- I just find the access and flexibility give me a bigger sense of freedom.

What are the smallest motorhomes that that incorporate the essentials of toilet and shower compartment? SWMBO won’t consider anything without those but also wants a “small” motorhome. Must be no wider than a van conversion.

TIA.

We're looking at/for a 5.99m 2 berth M/home with the same criteria as yours, but with a decent garage. That makes a transverse bed the only option [but I may be wrong because we've never owned a m/home!] Toss up between Sunlight T60 Active, Sun Life [Adria Budget] S60 and an Adria Matrix 520ST, the latter being around £11,500 more expensive, so more likely to remain a dream.

Downsie do you do Facebook? If so, have you joined WildAx Enthusiasts Group yet? - it's a nice group.

No excuse for showing it again but this has full bathroom with toilet and shower, first things in (y) ;)View attachment 433939
Nice Van, shame about the colour. Add a couple of blue lights and you've got yourself an ambulance... on second thoughts, maybe that might not be a bad thing ... would help with getting through our smart motorway traffic jams when someone breaks down 😀
Like the table though.

Ok Nanniemate, pictures.
It has three gas rings rather than the two I was expecting. The new type washbasin is fine, doesn’t seem to intrude on the space at all.
I thought the bed would be hard, and it is!
I was also right in thinking I wouldn’t like the tables so will get something else. Otherwise it’s great. As has been mentioned before a stool is essential to access the lockers, but there is an awful lot of space. I have joined the Facebook group CWH, love your outlook, quite beautiful.

I much prefer the teardrop basin to the rather clunky drop down version.
I was ok with the firmness of the foam but was motivated to try an egg box memory foam topper... a revelation. Normal memory foam is too warm for me...
Feels a bit odd when you first lie down but is so comfy.
Littens Egg Box Topper

What don't you like about the table?

I think a topper of some sort is needed but I’m concerned about the ability to store it during the day. The gap into the overhead locker is 20cm max. I’m wondering about the duvalay topper as it is shown rolled up on the website. Egg box one doesn’t look very soft? Afraid I have to have soft!!
The tables are fine in themselves but are positioned such that any movement about the van is difficult once they’re up. I tried the two together yesterday with my grandson and we had to dismantle the table to reach the kitchen! I think Im going to look for one that could fold and also go outside.

Most enjoyable to drive and the best for traction:

CS Amigo @5.2m

Best option is the older RWD Sprinter with 7G-Tronic auto.

plenty of others, including the wild ax and sone newer Fiat based Knaus Boxlife. If you can afford one. Go for the new Fiat with XF auto
I meant ZF 9 speed for fiat.

mid the CS amigo is too short. There are a few La Strada Regents around.
