We've had our Bailey Adamo for a year and have only just thought of posting this annoying feature. Every time the hab door is opened the daylight running lights and side marker lights come on for a short while. At night it's like a bloody Xmas tree every time the door opens. Just curious if this can be turned off.

That is truly bizarre

In my opinion anyway as I have zero knowledge of bailey
Surly the hab electrics are completely separate to the cab electrics which the drl's will be on ?

Ours does the same but stops after a certain number of cycles after the ignition is turned off. Turn on the iignition and it all starts over again.

Annoying. Think it is a Ford thing. Something like ‘see you home lights”

If you mean during use of the key fob to unlock then its linked to the alarm.
Most vehicles would flash the indicators a couple of times but Bailey obviously opt for the headlamp wiring.
At a guess an auto electrician/alarm installer could change it.

No. Vehicle unlocked and no alarm set. Every time hab door is opened .
From above posts it seems a ford thing.

It is a Ford thing and is a part of the central locking and alarm system. Like others have said, after a while (when the BCM is in power saving mode) it doesn’t happen. I haven’t tried any coding changes but believe although it should be able to be disabled, the security system could be compromised.

Is there not an option in the menu of the vehicle? Sounds like the sort of option you could activate or deactivate. Have you gone through all the menu options - I'm talking about the vehicle options i.e. on the end of one of the indicator or light stalks on the steering column.

I have looked but can’t find anything.

From a forum…….

You may also perform the following power door lock sequence to
enable/disable the perimeter lamps feature. Note: Before starting, ensure
the ignition is in the 1 (LOCK) position and all vehicle doors are closed.
You must complete Steps 1–5 within 30 seconds or the procedure will
have to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, wait a
minimum of 30 seconds before beginning again.
1. Place the key in the ignition and
turn the ignition to the 3 (RUN)
position.
2. Press the power door unlock
control on the door panel three
times.
3. Turn the ignition from the 3
(RUN) position to the 1 (LOCK)
position.
4. Press the power door unlock control on the door panel three times.
5. Turn the ignition back to the 3 (RUN) position. The horn will chirp
one time to confirm programming mode has been entered and is active.
6. Press the power door unlock control twice within 5 seconds. Note:
The horn will chirp once to indicate the perimeter lighting feature has
been deactivated. The horn will chirp once and honk once (one short
and one long) to indicate the perimeter lighting feature has been
activated.
7. Turn the ignition to the 1 (LOCK) position to exit the procedure.
Note: The horn will chirp once to confirm the procedure is complete.

Sounds like a lot of work but will it switch off the unwanted lights?

Try it and see. My car has a lot of these sequences to change the programming, so it's highly likely it will work. Make sure you follow the sequence exactly.

Be interesting if it works but I’m not that hopeful. The door locking button is on the cab door and from memory only locks and unlocks the cab doors not the hab door which is the issue here.

Don’t know how long before BCM goes into power saving but know that even if you haven’t opened the hab door (or any other) the lights come on when you do. This is without any lock or unlock operation, just opening the door. I gave up looking for a fix and just try to live with it.

My memory won't allow me to do this, I'll only get to second step and get confused😂.
Also a bit worried about upsetting the Phantom alarm/tracker.
