Skylight problem (1 Viewer)

We have a Dometic Seitz skylight that has jammed and now the winder is just turning and not opening the roof panel. Ive tried to dismantle it with my fumbling female hands but couldn't get the winding mech out. Does anyone know if or where I could get info to try to learn how to fix it or do I need to have the whole skylight replaced which seems unacceptable to me.
Any ideas please?

Crazylady , If you go to www.leisurespares.co.uk they have parts diagrams for the Dometic Seitz Roof / skylights showing the winding gears etc. for them which can be very useful .

Just to make everyone aware, the winding type of skylight needs assistance when winding up because the mechanism isn't strong enough for it. So every time you want to open it, always assist it up with your other hand why winding the leaver
