Just a heads up if you have bought sheepskins from Skyeskyns.

We bought four sheepskins in 2015.. two were used on the back of the captains chairs of the Hymer, the other two were on our sofa in the house..

No problems with three of them.. but today we noticed the wool coming off of one .. and with gentle pulling it all stared to come off

They have never been washed or cleaned..

So I emailed them and they have said to return it for replacement..

so do check yours..

Well at least they are looking at it for you. Do they give a guarantee with them.
I remember them being very fair when was it @Ambilkate , who shredded hers in the washing machine .
I’m sure they replaced it for her.
Maybe it would have been better waiting for the outcome before posting ?
We’ve got some from ikea had them several years and had no problems with them. Cheap as chips .

Remember the old saying " Buy sheep buy twice "

the outcome is they are replacing it.. no quibble.. she said it will be sent back to the tannery to find out what went wrong

and no, I don't think they have a guarantee.

they have said to return it for replacement..

update..

Dear Jim

We have looked at this today and we can see that there is some fault with the leather.

We are happy to send you a new one which will leave here tomorrow.

I hope this meets with your expectations

Kind regards

Sally

Absolutely - that's great service.

Every company has things that go wrong, the mark of good customer service is how they deal with it when it does happen.

Well done that company, nobody likes getting fleeced.(n)
