Sitting suits. Anyone tried one?

Looks very similar to a changing robe used during winter (or Summer in Scotland) for swimming and paddleboarding you can put your arms inside to get changed whilst staying toasty and drying off.

New Years Day Swim and it was a tad chilly.

The way gas prices are going up I might have to get one and look a right pratt.

Trouble is with our insulated homes & central heating got used to walking around in tee shirts in the middle of winter.
try a libity bodes. you only need a zip up the back, ok.pj.

I’ve recently invested in a Kuud.ly bought initially for sitting outside at night when away in the van. Decided to try it out at home and absolutely love it. I haven’t had my central heating on yet as a result. Yes I look a prat but as there is only the dog to see me I don’t care!!
You bought a what??

There is a apparently a dry robe knock off for sale in Primark stores but think they are difficult to find in stock .

When I saw this I immediately thought of Mr Blobby!

Joking aside, as someone who does feel the cold a lot but when away on holiday likes to sit outside until I can bear it no longer, something like this would work well for me instead of the fleece blanket and/or jacket. Its a bit like the puffa jackets you used to get only longer.

I might have to investigate further ... if I get one I'll take a photo for you lot to have a giggle at! :giggle:

Will we notice the difference with or without? :giggle:

If I were an all year round swimmer or surfer then I'd wear one... but I don't partake in either activity so there's no way I'd wear one.

I’ve given up worrying about what a wally I look - I just keep thinking of my old grans saying ‘if it suits the wearer then bugger the starer’😁😁
My 96 year old Mum's mantra would be the opposite of that! She will NOT wear hats, gloves, boots etc instead she'll be cold, get wet feet etc ... when she was doing some shopping herself and didn't like carrying stuff back home we said to use a trolley to make it easier ... no way Jose, not a chance, she told us "They're for old people!"!!!

Umm, reading all this makes me think that someone is trying to re-vent the wheel, isn't it just a coat with some type of snowfake name on it. Fair play to the people who dream this stuff up and convince people to part with money for it, only wish it was me

You mean like the boxer/pyjamas/trunks you went paddle boarding in?:rofl:

I’m tempted to get two easier in use and sleeping etc but a pain to use for when toilet is needed.

Winter Alpine climbers have been wearing 'Belay Jackets' for years.
'Sitting Jackets' are the same thing but with a new name.

If you are the belay person on the bottom of the rope, it involves hours of standing around in very exposed positions whilst the lead climber goes up a few meters at a time.

The original belay jackets were made from old Army Surplus sleeping bags.

Update on my original question.
couldn't find too many reviews of the sitting suit. So having read the posts about changing robes I spoke with the many surfers we have here and eventually got a couple of MiAdventure Robes.
Excellent. lovely, warm and waterproof even around North Yorkshire moors and seaside in 2 degrees. Saves on running gas heater when off site.
thats all.
