Sites Near Christmas Markets (UK)

We are not going to Europe for Christmas markets this year, lack of Schengen Days.

So we are looking to take our Car & Caravan for a few nights.

I did look at Oxford, but the C&CC has closed now. Anywhere within 150 Miles of Manchester.

Not Bury for Manchester as I live and work in Manchester !

I dont mind leaving the car on Site and taking a Bus, walk, cycle

Any suggestions please?

Birmingham Christmas market is good busy at weekends though. You could try this site and get the train in from nec about 15 minutes into Birmingham.

Bath Marina.

Good bus service from just outside the site.

Really good market with lots of local artisans rather than Chinese crap.

Redbridge lorry/motorhome park, Oxford it's next to the park and ride, no services but it's flat and all concrete.
There was about 7 other motorhomes there in July when we were there in the RV. £8.10 for 24 hours

Op is taking a car and caravan so I don’t think allowed at Redbridge overnight

Edinburgh Xmas market is on and choice of a couple of sites, plus a couple in Glasgow and you can stay at CMC in Strathclyde park.

We have stayed at the small site attached to the Lysander Arms near York. It is a short walk to Rawclife park and ride.
I think it’s only twelve pitches and a facilities block but was nice last time we stayed there.

Try Briarfields campsite which is just off the M5 near Cheltenham and there is a bus stop right outside with a bus service to both Cheltenham and Gloucester both have Christmas markets. Gloucester was the biggest market.

I was going to suggest York, as Bigwood has.
A CL do ? Near to a park and ride.
