Site with easy access to Newcastle

Hi, would anyone be able to recommend a campsite that has easy access to Newcastle town centre (ideally train / metro). I’m looking to attend a match at St James’ Park.

All ideas appreciated!

You could stay at the CAMC Whitley Bay site a 30 min train journey into Newcastle

Stephenson Arms Wylam. Also ccc 5 van site. Short walk to the station. Couple of nice pubs in the village.

As Riggers1 above but the bus service takes you to the Haymarket. You get off the bus, cross the road, take one of the side streets and you are at the ground. The bus stop at Whitley is from the campsite to the pub, Delaval Arms, turn right and it is maybe 100 yards on your side of the road.
If you can go to Tynemouth one weekend morning as the market on the Metro station platform is brilliant

Nice site here and handy for the metro could make a few days of it .

If it was me I would stay at Derwent caravan park at Rowlands gill.

Nice location. Couple of minutes walk to bus stop where you can get a bus straight into centre of Newcastle main bus station.
Can’t miss St James park from there.
