We have a MiFi and use a Smarty SIM card in a Motorhome WiFi unit and Huawei E5577 MiFi which seldom seems to work when we need it in the UK and never ever works when we pop over to France. It costs £20 a month and I want to dump it. Question is what SIM do I replace it with. I only use it to upload and download data and use my phone for voice and text

We've had quite good results from a Smarty SIM in our E5577s 321, both in UK and Spain but have external antenna connected.
We had to turn on "Allow Roaming" when in Spain.
However, our Teltonika router with Smarty SIM is markedly better at signal strength and download speed.

Salty Seadog
You also need to set the APN for the Smarty SIM or it will not work in the EU.

Buy a Spanish Tiekom, 300 GB works perfect all over Europe also in the UK, someone will come along in a minute with the link

We have an 'Internet with legs' from '3'.
24Gig or 24 months with upfront cost of £35 currently.
Only use it when we are away from home in the mifi .
It can be variable though as we don't have an external aerial.
