I'm a slightly less experienced newbie and still learning
First time use of genuine Silver screen felt it was a bit tight when fitted over the blades. So now have fitted it with the blades outside of it. Which is how a lot are shown on website pictures.
Is there a right way, or is it what's right for you?

Under the blades so it's in close contact with the screen.

I use an external silver screen to reduce heat from the sun (in Spain, now) and I keep the wipers under it. If using an interior screen and the sun is strong (eg Spain, now) I lift the wipers off the screen with surplus wine corks. I often forget and loose the corks - but there’s always more 🥂

Blades on top - keeps the silver screen in place! (y)
edit: it also keeps the ‘fold-down’ bit in place too!

Thanks all for the prompt replies, mixed range of answers. So I guess it comes down to the old adage what's right for you.

But no protection for the blades from ultra violet which causes wiper deterioration. I don’t bother with silver screens but I do have silver wiper protectors. A few £s on ebay saves expensive wiper replacement.

Ours has elasticated hooks, covers the wipers and the trough in front. Serves us well in all weather/ tree environs. 👍
