Has anyone got a part number for the gas struts for the side lockers on a Rapido 9048df please?

The strut should have the part number and the tension settings on it. If you contact SGS they will be able to supply a strut much cheaper than Rapido.

Hydrocell, if you do manage to identify the strut details, shop around on the Internet for replacements before going ahead with a purchase.
The two big struts for our huge heavy garage door became weak. SGS had two goes at replacing with the correct ones......but failed, as they were worse than the originals. :(

Using the OE part number, and dimesions/pressure etc, I searched the Internet and sourced mine from an Agriculture Equipment Supplier. They are the exact same struts as those fitted to the rear opening window of a Ford tractor. ;)

I also replaced the struts from the side locker, and all four cost me less than one strut from Niesmann+Bischoff, and less than those from SGS, who refunded me in full.

Cheers,

Jock. :)
