Shooting in Strasbourg Christmas Markets

Forgone conclusion if they find him cos he ain't going to give himself up.... And the French police are armed.

Sky news reporting 2 dead, gunman still on the loose but identified and known to police/ security service.

f’ing bastards:mad:

4 confirmed dead now, and they still aint caught him.
Hope they dont mess about when they have him in their sights.

When its all over there will be the usual big enquiry as this terrorist murderer was "known to the police"
What good will that do?, oh yea, it will be another big learning curve for the security services, that are undermaned and under funded.
There are probably too many of them to police properly, why blame the security services, blame the politicians I say.

Apparently the shooter jumped into a taxi to escape - wonder if it was an Uber ... :xsurprised:

If the gunman is identified the authorities ships be able to
Corrected for you

Actually I do hope they miss. Miss any instantly fatal spot and shoot him somewhere which will cause extreme pain and a very long lingering festering death. And when he reaches whichever pearly gates he believes in the angel says " No, you must have misheard the scriptures , its's not seventy happy virgins waiting to welcome you, its a single seventy year old sadist virgin, who, by chance is related to one of your victims and very much looking forward to meeting you."

Latest news is he is a local thief who is of algerian descent. All depends what type of thief he was as to whether he was known to the security services. Anything to do with fraud and he should have been high on their list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-terrorist_policies_of_the_Metropolitan_police#Operation_Trammel

I hope that any such inquiry doesn't find that police and security officers weren't relocated to deal with the Paris Yellow Vest protests & the pre-emptive arrests, so as leaving inadequate cover elsewhere, and they didn't take their eye off the ball.

We can’t upset him he’s Muslim do gudders to mind

The worrying bit is that about 10% of all the extreme Islamists in France who are on the security service watch lists as potential terrorists live in Strasbourg and its immediate area. This was according to the news on TV5 Monde. [now online only - no longer has a Sky channel and is off air in the UK]

Ooer. Strasbourg no longer sits near the top of my must-visit list. :xsad:

This terrorist has had the luck of the devil - after several firefights with soldiers and Police he was only wounded in the arm. The manhunt goes on.
