Has anyone used ShipMyCar to import a motorhome from abroad?

They’ve been helpful with advice and telling me the procedure etc.

But I have no contract or order number or anything else in writing to give me confidence that things will go ahead smoothly and quickly. They don’t respond to emails very quickly and they always leave something unanswered. I’ve asked for an invoice so that I can pay In advance. That was a week or so ago...

I’m picking the new German campervan up next week and driving it back home. Then into storage for 3 weeks or so while the import and registration procedure is hopefully accomplished.

I’ve just got this horrible nagging doubt. And what do I do if they let me down?

Do it yourself it's not hard.

Easily said, but rather subjective. If I knew what to do and how to do it, maybe I would think it easy, but I don't, so I'm trying to use a company that does. Maybe there's another company? or an easy to follow guide?

if you search "importing" you will find plenty of posts by myself & others.
It's not quite as straightforward as it used to be but still pretty simple.
