Have a look down the page on FAQs, there's mention of limited EHU's.

More details to follow.....
But for now.....

As soon as I have spoken to the right person at Stone Leisure I will update this thread. I can say just now that arrivals on Thursday January 7th are £33 and Friday arrivals £28 so you save £2 by going through Fun. Last departures are by midday Monday the 10th. The fee includes the motorhome and 2 adults. Additional adults are £7.50 each and children under 16yrs are free.
They tell me that vans are parked on hard-standing including using the site roads. Electric hook ups are available, at an extra cost and I will enquire as to how many and how much.
There is to be entertainment on the Friday and the Saturday nights, all included in the cost of camping  as well as all the viewing and buying opportunities of this three day event. We cannot think of a better way of starting the New Year!
Book early as with Christmas approaching you may get distracted, remember to post on this thread as soon as you have booked
Looking forward to greeting you to the Shepton Mallet Show.:coolthumb:

Last year you will recall it was cancelled due to the bad weather. Also they were only going to use the roadways and no grass... they also said there was only one water point up by the entertainment building and that the stalls were all inside the buildings.. so not as many dealers will be there. Yet they still charge the same price as the summer one's

Not a lot of an incentive to me if there is a lack of parking areas and problems getting water. Just my views. I personally will give it a miss this year as when I checked all the details last year after I had paid I did feel I was not getting such a good deal.

September we had a great area and it worked fine for us as a group with the tents and even with the weather it was OK.. but I do not see it the same being parked nose to tail on the roadways... just my views.

Thanks Bob,
A personal opinion to which you are entitled. Last year was cancelled but last winter was exceptional and if exceptional means what it says it hopefully it will not be the same this winter. As we all know you can have beautiful crisp winter weather and as long as you are prepared, motorhoming then can be comfortable and enjoyable.
We go to a few shows throughout the year and many meets, generally for the same reason, socialising with fellow motorhomers, the shows have the bonus of something to look at and often, as at Shepton, two nights of entertainment in with your camping fee if you wish to go.
I should think that a show in January (indoors) costs as much as any other show put on at other times of the year and therefore the camping fees will be the same. Hardstanding also means no grass, hay, mud etc in the van, bit of a bonus. If your van can carry a tank of water without being overweight then best to take it from home, it makes setting up and settling down faster anyway. Those that want to go, we look forward to seeing you.

Went to this one a few years ago,, before I became a "Funster"

Horrible weather,, parked on the roads, but still a good show,, but what it lacked in quality and weather was made up by the friends we met and enjoyed.. :thumb:

So to break up a long winter has got to be worth it.. :thumb:

Hi Bob & Jane

Are we the first to book, we wonder? Just booked to arrive on the Thursday. Booked to attend a MHF meet not necessarily for the show, that is an added bonus. Now we are retired we are making the most of attending MHF meets as we have the time to do so.

It's possible we will not be able to attend due to our new grandchilds arrival, let's hope everything is on schedule and all is OK afterwards, then you will see us there and it's hopefully on the way back from the New Year meet in Wales.

Nigel and Pamala

Hi Nigel and Pamela,
You are the first!! It will be great to catch up with you both and hear about your extensive travels. We do hope that the baby arrives on time , that you get to cuddle and fuss and that you get to Shepton too. In the meantime take care and enjoy the rest of this year.:thumb: All our best wishes, Jane and Bob

I was not saying that people should not go... I use my RV in the winter and was booked for last years show.. might add a refund soon followed from the show organisers (well done)..

My view was it seems you get less some how and I have been a few times in the past. OK I do not have a problem with water as being an RV we have big inboard tanks and can carry water and waste with no problems... in fact I always arrive with full tanks, that saves going hunting for it.

I expect to get mud or hay in the van.. happens when you have a St Bernard, despite how hard you try to stop it.. we have over mats in any case. But go enjoy it... just remember the water issues and the toilets that is all I am saying. Do not take offence Jane and Bob, it was just my view that is all.

Hardy stuff but not immune......
Yesterday I (Jane) had a migraine, by the time I did my first post on this thread I felt better. But. I must have still been under the influence of the medication as I should have put Thursday January 6th (not 7th) for the first arrivals, the show DOES start on Friday the 7th. Sorry about that and I hope no one has been confused by my mistake. Feeling OK now
Thanks for understanding, Jane

UPDATE

Only 50 days to the show and remember pre-booking should be made by December 17th.
If electric hookups are required these should ideally be booked and paid for (cheques to me, I add them together, write my own and send it all off) by Friday December the 10th. There is 6 amp available for £16 + VAT (£18.80) and 10 amp is £22 + VAT (£25.85) the hooks ups will be available from noon on Thursday until 8am Monday.
ENTERTAINMENT
Friday's night will be hosted by compère/ comedienne Jennie Robin who looks quite a livewire, music and song by Cascade, a trio. There is also a popular stand up magician comedian Roy Charles.
Saturday night will see Dean Winters as the compère comedian, Phil Blackmore a juggling entertainer, his website indicates he juggles, amongst other things, chain-saws, I cannot promise those but they are in his repertoire :Eeek: The music and song from the 60s to the present day will be by a 4 piece band called Neon Rainbeaux.

You can put our names down for electric please, but does this mean that we might not all be together?

Please pm with your address and who you want the cheque made out to.

Nigel and Pamala

Hi you two,
The contractors lay the electricity on where it is needed, I was told we would all still be together. 6 amp or 10 amp? I am about to send a PM with our address ::thumb:
