Hello, we've got an electroblock 31, with a Lippert Booster WA 121545 charger. This is from the factory. We want to use our orion. I've removed the AC charger fuse from the EBL. I've then disconnected the green Anderson plug from the bottom of the Booster (lesuire battery plug). Is that all we need to do to isolate the charging side of the EBL? We will be wiring the orion from the starter to our orion, then to our Lynx distributor, that bit we can do.

Sorry can't help with the EBL, don't know them very well, but intrigued as to why you'd swap the WA for an Orion

I would disconnect both input and output from Schaudt B2B no point in having it powered up if you are using & should be able to get a few quid for it.

The AC charging is independent of the WA121545 booster (B2B). There is no need to remove the AC charger fuse if you are switching from one B2B (WA121545) to another B2B (Victron Orion). That fuse just controls the output of the internal AC charger, and nothing else.

The green plug to the WA121545 is not actually an Anderson plug, even though it looks very like one. The larger left-hand pair is for the starter battery, the smaller right-hand pair is for the leisure battery. There should be another thinner wire which is the D+ (engine running) signal.

It's a good idea to use the D+ (engine running) signal for the Orion B2B. I know it has a method for guessing that the engine is running by looking at the voltage of the starter battery, but that can cause problems. Especially in a complex system where there are things like solar charging the starter battery. Or even worse, if it has a smart alternator.

Which Orion model are you using?
