Service- Wi-Fi south France

Hi, down S France with my i phone 2013 & Huawei 4g Mobile WiFi

It says ‘ take connection everywhere with you’??
But no service on phone?
Any tips pls what am I doing wrong

France does not have 100% cellular coverage, and it will vary by provider, so there are going to be areas you have "no service".

Does that mean No my roaming was off but now it’s on? Or No my roaming was already on? Or “No roaming” was activated? ie off? Punctuation is a wonderful thing!
First option, “No, roaming on now”
Second option “No, roaming was already on”
Third option “ “No roaming” wasn’t on”

Blimey! Now I’m confused!! Which was it??

Who is the SIM register d with..EE, VODA ETC , then search their coverage maps if you can find WiFi at a service station ,cafe etc.

I've never had issues south France with EE...though 02 was hit and miss

Punctuation is a wonderful thing!
Especially when used correctly, in conjunction with capital letters, but sadly not here RustyRuss.
Note forum rule, whatever #. Do not criticise others spelling or punctuation.

I know Smarty sim needs a different APN to work on roaming.

I like turning the phone off and on.

If that doesn't work I give up.

I think OP has got roaming off on her phone and is trying to use the Huawei as a mifi to provide wifi to the phone. However mifi unit says No Service.
Bailey 15, If that is correct, then can you tell us what sim is in the Huawei.?

I helped an English couple with their Huawei router that they couldn’t get working in France with an iD sim, that had 3UK as the ANP , he didn’t know about these settings, I set it with ANP ‘ id ‘ and away he went happy. At least we got some very nice chocolate eclairs out of it.
