Don't own one yet
Hi all, we are currently staying on the Aire de Camping Car in Chartres but it doesn't have any facilities and the Municipal is closed. Can anyone suggest a service point in the local area or do I need to head back toward Dreaux?

Have you looked on Search for sites or P4night? closest would be Courville sur Eure to the west or Bonneval or Marboue to the south

I had a look on park 4 the night but was hoping someone might know a service point in Chartres so we don't have to leave.

It's a shame you can't filter for open sites on P4N as Courville sur Eure is closed for the winter.

You will probably find the water on all the Aires in the north turned off as its now November. The service point at the campsite is outside the site so worth a try.

The Aire will be open and the services are there not inside the camp site, jetons from the bakery in village.

we where on the aire at Marboue on the 2nd of Nov. The service point was all covered up and not in use, ready to protect it from any cold weather.

I tried to fill up at Blangy last week and couldn't get any water, wasted €4 🙄

Flipping annoying when they do that, I was mad enough when I lost €1 in Germany due to the service point being out of order and no notice.

That's what we came for, saw it a few years ago and it's even better now for the 20th Anniversary. I was totally blown away at the main show on the Cathedral this year, just amazing.

They have extended it then used to finish in September.
It's quite good but the one Beaune is far better.
The one in Beaune must be truly amazing as I have never seen a light show as good as Chartres. It runs for 10 months of the year now.

It is very hit and miss at this time of year as to which ones are turned off,we stopped at Saint Denis les Ponts outside Chateaudun last Saturday night and everything was still working and free,so on our five week trip we spent €0 on stops and fills 👍

That does look pretty good 😀 I wish my photos were as good as yours so they do Chartres justice.

If you are talking about the aire at Courville sur Eure, the bourne doesn't require jetons. It's a nice spot though.

Yeah that one, it did last time we were there a few years ago and latest reviews says it does?
