Where is best place to put an add to sell a motorhome and not just on here any free ones

I haven't sold any motors there, but I have always found Gumtree to be a very useful platform for selling.

I've had good results with autotrader for cars.
Too many cranks, scammers and time wasters on Gumtree and Facebook.
For motorhomes i doubt you'll get better coverage to your targeted audience than on here in classified ads

I think that depends on what it is and its value.

My view is; Anything that is a free ad ( other than here) is likely to attract tyre kickers.
Sorry, finger slipped and ended up here.
Have nothing constructive to add to your thoughts other than good luck and hope the op gets what they want.
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

Hi, classified add on ebay 30 days for about £20.00 lots of pics with good description and at the end of the add spell out payment methods that are acceptable to you.
I usually only use the ebay ask seller a question way of communicating till I have checked out the potential buyer.

There is always the option of Simon Select who is local to you and may sell on commission.
This option is the one i would look into. Deciding factor would be the % commission they would ask, i will then do the math.
Don't want clowns coming to my house offering stupid amounts (low)

Loads of Companies advertising to buy in the back of the club mags.

I sold to a dealer after putting an add on auto trader. I could have got a little more if I'd sold privately but with the dealer it was hassle free. If I was selling again I would contact the dealers directly before putting the address on to save the £40 🙂

Our van is selling for 61,999 and as much as 67,995 the dealer offered 48,000 we know they have to make profit

Now you have indicated a value, When you said any free ones did you mean free to advertise or free of commission?

Thank you I did mean free to advertise and free of commission but now I see that I can put it on eBay for 20 pound for 30 days, I thought it would cost hundreds or more to advertise.

I’ve sold one eBay and another via Gumtree. I found Autotrader to be an expensive waste of time and not user friendly to set up. I’ve also put an add on this site. Simon Select was excellent to deal with but I managed to get more for the van via eBay.

For me, it's about been realistic.
You want the best price for your MH.
Your buyer wants the best price.
The dealer / third party seller want a profit to be intermediary.
You want £62k and as a cash buyer I would offer £55k which you may decline. We probably would end up doing a deal at £58-£59k?
For a third party buyer /commission wanting to give you £48k is taking the biscuit (other words available).
If you need too get rid quickly you'll have a predicament. I feel £52k is a genuine offer from a dealer.
If not so bothered, then selling in winter is bad time for you. Wait, as borrowing money will become cheaper in 24 for people and I don't feel MH prices will decline.
I do however believe they have reached a pinnacle as we may see a resurgence in house building, due to lower mortgage rates as the economy starts it's slow recovery.

I brought mine from "motorhome depot" have to admit that I was a little sceptical but I would 100% by form the very branch again

Was very professional and they had want I was looking for 👍🏽
I,d second motorhome depot for buyers, but they take 10% from the seller... I just bought mine and found it on ebay, advertised by motorhome depot. Kevin at the north yorkshire motorhome depot franchise was excellentand prob took a lot of hassle out of the sale for the seller. I used autotrader and ebay religiously when I was searching, they both charge but I was surprised how little.

Thank you I have been watching our model over last few weeks and they are selling older vans than ours are selling for around 59,999, but we can wait and we will still use it.

The other consideration is than via a dealer like select motorhomes they can offer finance services to a prospective buyer

Motorhome Depot. We had a chat over the phone first, then he visited my house where the van was. Looked it over, took lots of photos and off he went. A few hours later he rang to agree with the price I wanted.

I told them what I wanted, they put £4k on top, and sold it within two weeks.

Stayed on my drive with me all the time. Although there was several enquiries, the first couple who saw it bought it. I showed them how everything worked, but there wasn’t the necessity to do that. However, we all know our own vans better than the sales people I’m sure.

Money transferred at collection.

I was sceptical, but it when very smoothly. Give them a ring, it doesn’t cost you anything. 👍

Bought ours through Motohome Depot and would buy another or sell via them without a doubt. Very professional, and open with the outstanding finance on the vehicle, which they cleared off before paying the seller.

Our local franchise didn’t take anything from me.

These are the figures….. I wanted £48k…. I got £48k.🤷‍♂️

He advertised it for £51.995. He may have got that, but I got what I wanted without any tyre kickers, advertising costs etc. So I was happy.👍
