Swift Bolero 2013
Morning
After a lot of though....and still thinking, I am toying with the idea of selling our Motorhome.
I could do with some advice on which is the best way to sell it should we go ahead.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Not sure I could cope with the stress of being sure the funds were all in place before giving it away

Think I would opt for the dealer buy back / sell for me route 👍

From your duplicate post:

We used Motorhome Depot and found the whole process completely painless. They deal with filtering out the dross and arranging, and conducting, viewings with credible buyers. They were able to have viewings when we were away for a few days, and, in fact, it was one of those viewings that resulted in the sale.

They advertise on their own website as well as the other usual channels.

For us, it was well worth the fee.

PM me the full specification and I am sure I can help.

Simon
Like said earlier it is a tentative enquiry should I decide to sell.
It a Swift Bolero 630EW 62 plate but registered early 2013. It's in good nick 27000 on the clock partial service history. Some guy off one of these buying sites offered around £33,000 depending on condition. I personally thought that seemed low.

Give it to Simon of 'Select Motorhomes'. Mine is going down on Saturday. I have a firm belief in his company and him as a person.
Why go else where ? He has a reputation to up hold and so he cannot afford to cause you a problem.
Personally.....I have every bone in my body saying he and his company are the way forward.
What have you got to lose?

Regards Kev and Carolyn

That is some recommendation indeed 😂 this place must be good. I just wish he was nearer to me up in Lancashire.

I live in Shropshire....And I know its a decent journey for Simons' guys and lasses of course..to come up here and pick it up to sell it for us.
I am sure that if its worth selling ....Simon would consider it without a thought. Give him a chance...You are in safe hands. That is the best part about this. At least we all know of Simon and his abilities to look after the customer. I trust him.

Easy,
Talk to him on the the phone. Get an idea of price. Drive down do a deal your both happy with and get train back home.

Or drive back if not happy, which I would be very surprised at.

When I was looking to buy mine I wanted a local dealer. But ended up buying off Simon. Got the drain down. He arranged for me to be collected from the train station.

Checked over the van, made sure I was happy with everything. Then we did the paperwork.
No pressure.

Drove it to a local pub/site for the night, then home the next day. 400 miles that was, back to just north of Newcastle.

He even came to the pub and bought the beers. What more could you ask for 👍👍👍

He's even been known to help people on here with dealer issues, offering his help to sort things out

To be fair I mistakenly posted this message twice (I've no idea how to merge the 2). On the quieter of the 2 he responded very quickly with an offer of help which is very credible 👍

I would trust Simon absolutely, unfortunately we needed an immediate sale to purchase new in France, so we used Brownhills, they made us a fair offer and collected on time

Possibly the same way in which you can state that we lose money perhaps? How do you know that?

Thought I would best edit that last bit....I guess you know better?

Oooh ...sorry .....Regards Kev.....Better to be polite

Don’t be so touchy Kevin!
I simply posted ‘money’
IE from my, and a couple of friends experiences, one can often achieve more ‘money’ from other selling routes, rather than selling to a dealer.
That Is all !

This post is awesome, however a couple of bits. I sell vans for people. I don’t buy or part exchange. We agree a figure together that we can return the customer and we put our bit on top. We then cover the prep, part exchange, warranty cost and any work needed. It’s clear and transparent and everyone knows what’s what. There are brokers there that will let the customer come to your house and you can charge X amount and they still get their commission, I don’t work like that. I don’t want to sell a van from your drive as it is unprofessional I would like to sell it from my forecourt!

I really hope that we can get sorted with my issues with health at this moment. I would have no problem what so ever getting Simon to find us a truck to get us mobile again.
I know that we will be ok and happy with our future arrangement.
Looking forward to the next 10 years hopefully?
Dont want a VW simon! No room for a loo! :giggle:(y);)

I spent 7 hours cleaning every inch of our motorhome today, on the hottest day of the year, for the man who called me yesterday and wanted to view today to not even bother with a phone call to tell me he wasn’t coming 😤. Where do I sign?

Latest post from a new customer of mine on Facebook!

Was at Brownhills on Friday, and counted close to a hundred used MHs on their site…..so guess they are keen to sell…

they were carrying out some warranty work on ours and to be fair they were ok.
