Self levelling systems

I'd warn anyone thinking of buying from Glide-Rite to consider other companies. They may have changed in the last few years but the system they fitted for me did not work properly and they seemed to have no idea how to correct it.

Big SHOUT OUT for Phil and Cath at A S Airsuspension! What a knowledgeable team.

Phil and John fitted the HPC self levelling system to our MH and as a Brucie Bonus, we decided to splash a little more with semi air at the rear (thats all we can have on a Sprinter). What a transformation. Quality workmanship, great handover and reassuring support at the end of a mobile whenever we need it.

Brill!

Why not put a review in the reviews section??

Interesting thread all.

Q. I can see levellers being extremely useful and less of a payload overhead on larger vans, but are they suitable for a 7m 3.5t van (although I’m likely to update soon)?

Our van is 7.2m and was plated at 3.3t until we up plated to carry all the guff we rarely need.
The E&P system fitted to ours weighed 54kg but some of that weight was offset by not now having to carrying the two sets of levelling ramps at 11.5Kg and the jack at 6.5Kg, so 17Kg knocked of the E&P weight.

Ours is only 6.6m, though we up rated it to 3850kg, not because of the levellers as they only added 40-45kg because we chose the lighter HPC system.
Plus as said above you don’t have to carry the jack and ramps which weighed about 18kg.

I know what you mean I had them do mine , never been what I thought it would be

How long ago was this and at which branch Of theirs.

Dont know if you wanted me to reply or not but I will anyway,
The system was fitted early 2011 and it was fitted with the Goldschmitt system with folding hydraulic legs at their Hampshire base, I had quite a lot of problems especially with auto levelling and then it turned out that the front legs were to far to the rear leaving the full weight of the engine and cab dangling with no support after much correspondence and return visits and their mechanic coming to my home it was decided in April 2014 to change the Goldschmitt legs with their own make and reposition the front ones a lot further forward, they were also supposed to have changed the electronics whilst they had it in again at their Hampshire base, but I doubt they ever did as still to this day auto levelling is hit and miss often leaving one leg up so not really making it stable, although the legs are far more robust and stable than the first ones, I now do level manually, that way it ensures that all the legs do reach the ground, a bit of a faff but I have got used to it now.
I did go to their Wirral base in Jan 2017 with another problem but they were unable to solve the auto levelling problem
I have now given up on it, have often thought of contacting some other installer to see how much it would cost to solve the levelling problem it is got to be an electrical gremlin

So long ago that I cannot remember (but, sometimes, I cannot remember if I took my pills this morning so it may not have been that long ago. It was their own system - before they transferred to MaVe (or whatever it is) - maybe 6 years ago. I was told it was automatic, but they never (to my knowledge) managed to master that, just as I was promised other things that never materialised. It was all done a Liphook.
I raised my point because I don't think the leadership has changed, so would expect the same level of ability (and economy of truth) to remain.

I had MA-VE auto levelling fitted to our Carthago by Wents Services in Kent. Mine was the first they had done and a fitter from MA-VE's head office came down to help them. They did a first class job and all works as it should. I chose MA-VE as it came with a 3 year warranty and they have a mobile breakdown service that covers right across Europe. Also operates from an app on my phone. Total cost £4250

Just had E&P leveling system plus VB rear air and front springs fitted at A&E Leisure Anderton, Cheshire, superb job and the van drives fantastic ( almost car like), leveling system is the cream on top !
Lot of dosh but money well spent - Burstener TD745 plated to 4250, though I may be able to go higher with the uprated suspension.

Been following this thread with interest as I'm thinking of having levellers fitted and nobody's mentioned the electric ones, they are considerably cheaper but are they any good or is it a case of buy cheap buy twice?

I personally have never seen any good reviews of electric levellers??

I think you answered your own question on that one.

Yes I presumed so, think I just wanted confirmation from others. Just need to choose between the hydraulic ones now. Thanks.??

If you fancy a quite evening in front of your computer, then type "levelling system" into the search window on the top right of this page and read through what other Funsters preferences of manufacturer and fitters are.

We had our E&P system fitted at SAP near Doncaster and are more than happy with the system and Mick's team of fitters and happy to recommend both as many others have and there will be others who are more than happy with their HPC levelling system as well.
