Bit of a circular route planned this year , drop into France , east to the Moselle for a few days , east and then south through a section of the romantic road , a route planned through Austria heading south east from landeck to the Venice area , west to Iseo and then we have a gap between north Italy and the start of the Loire valley (Orleans area) . Sooooo if anyone has a rough route moving north west then I’d be all ears/eyes . Prefer quieter roads , pretty villages, rivers and views rather than motorways and cities . Suggestions would be appreciated and reciprocated at some point x Have about 2 weeks at our disposal

We've toured that region and written of it on a few threads. My suggestion would be cross over into France at the Col du Montgenevre then follow your nose. There is a good aire on the Col but it isn't exactly free. :)

If you have time start at the source of the Loire and head downhill.

Post #95 on this thread is us reaching the source but we started from the mouth, so you will have to read the thread backwards. :)

The N94 is fine for MHs. It's got a few bends so loosen up the elbows. Expect a customs post on the top of the col. It's no hassle but having passports handy might be helpful if you're asked for them.
