Hello Funsters.
I have been offered a 2012 Fiat500 complete with nearly new A-frame with lights electrically connected so no tail light board required.
I can inspect a car myself but anything in particular to check regarding the A-frame mechanism etc?
Many thanks.

What make it the a frame ?

What I did when I looked was ring the company up tell them how old it is the a frame and what to look for

One of the trickiest parts is the electronic - inertia braking system on the car, and the most expensive part of the whole process. Agree ring the original supplier for their feedback.

If its been fitted by Armitage then the wiring will be hard wired into the cars own loom. The Brake parts will be either Over un (Cable coming out of the lower front panel) or electrically operated by Inertia (Box in the floor of the driver footwell connected electronically to the brake system). Better one is the electronically operated one. We too have this fitted to our Abarth (Fiat 595) Same electronics into the loom to operate all lighting etc but the frame is purely to act as the mechanism to the truck for towing. The electronic bit ( In our case RVi2 Brake buddy) just fits inside the car and connects to the brake pedal and works with inertia.
Excellent system but pricey. Picture attached

If it was supplied by a company professionally, then it should come with the Certificate of proof together with a piece of paper for continental travelling. Something that is issued for the foreign services to look at if you get pulled over abroad. Aparrently...its not liked or accepted in some countries but Im sure it will be on Motorhome fun here somewhere ?

Just double check on the fitting to the front of the Fiat ...Pictures would help if possible?

Regards Kev

We had the over-run type of Armitage A-frame. It was good but very heavy to lift off the car and store somewhere. 2 man lift required to be safe.
