I want to put an extra battery in our motor home i put a new agm 95 amp hour one from Halford in February this year I understand you can't mix and match but when I checked at Halford today they don't have their own make they only have yuasu does it really matter or can I put like for like just a different make

As long as they are the same type it will be OK, be aware there are two types of AGM, Type 1 & Type 2 they require different charging voltages.
I wouldn't use AGM for leisure use they are very unreliable in that situation dumped mine when I picked the van up and fitted Gels.
If you get a Halfords trade card you get over 25% off on batteries.

I can only find type A on my existing battery they seem to rate the as type A orB orC in Halford is this what you're referring to

Need to look up the charging characteristics from memory Type 1 is 14.4v & Type 2 14.7v Type 2 are the more common.

I fitted 2 of the Halfords A leisure batteries and they've been excellent so far 👍🏻

I am going to replace mine and add one of the very same batteries. Anybody have an update on reliability.

The best way to do it is to buy two identical batteries and discard the old one.
