Can anyone recommend a garage in north east London or Essex that can replace the dreaded seatbelt ecu please?

Do you mean airbag ECU?

If you search Airbag Repair you should find threads where people mention places you send it off to ..

I don’t think repair is a good option as there are several folk on the forum that did and not long after ended up having to get a new one.🤔😊

Just had mine replaced by a specialist and as he says he can reset them but it varies on how long it will last. The best option is to get the new improved ecu with a full warranty. But nowhere near London sorry.

A common theory is the failure may be linked to low starter battery voltage, so make sure your battery is ok?

Battery is perfect and has never been low voltage
The first time it showed the fault dashboard said air bag / seat belt fault refer to handbook/ dealer
Hand book said seat belt tensioner so I inserted the seat belts, gave them a tug and all was well- until a week later
I will check connections under seats
Thanks

Yes our battery never ran low 700 watts of solar when out and about and always put on ehu a couple of days (fridge cooling) before use. It is a possibility that the voltage drops when cranking. At five years old I had a new battery as well as a new ecu

I thought that until I bought a proper battery tester. My five year old battery was always reading 12.5v or more but when the starter motor load is applied it dropped to 11.2v.

I have just had my ecu reset by crash data 3 day turnaround caused by low voltage 11.7 volts this was caused by me leaving the ign on and starting it up the recommended replacing the battery mine was the original battery 2018 only done 6000 miles works just fine at the moment

I’ve read different reviews of crash data, some good and some not so great, is there a general view?

I suspect it all depends the fault code, what caused the failure, whether the cause has been fixed (eg a new battery) and possibly even the model number.

Best case scenario is that Crashdata (or one of the alternatives) delay the inevitable need to replace the unit.

My dashboard shows a red light icon for the airbag fault and another red icon showing the seat belt , are they connected due to the air bag problem?
Just wondered if there is another fault with the seat belt tensioner?
Thanks

Mine were linked and expect yours are too but without seeing the fault codes I can't be sure.

I could not see any fault codes on my reader, but it is basic

I think I will just get a new unit fitted
There is a Peugeot commercial main dealership a couple of miles from me, probably expensive but they will have the right diagnostic kit
Thanks for everybody’s help 👍

Normally ,yes
Just wondered if there is another fault with the seat belt tensioner?
quite often the wires break where they are connected right inside the seat belt assembly
I could not see any fault codes on my reader, but it is basic
They rarely show either of the faults.
