Seat base access

How easy, or not, is it to remove the louvered

panel at the rear of the seat base?
Does the seat have to be removed ?

A plastic clip each side at the top just ease it down with a large screwdriver.

Mine has been removed a few times. The clips are looking quite chewed up. Also, the seatbelt pretensioner wires go through there, so if you do use it for storage, make sure they don't get snagged... taking into account the chair spins!
