I'm a great outdoors fan.
I like open windows and fresh air however, I've noticed a lot of van conversions only have two tiny slide windows in the side, the rest are sealed. Even in custom conversions.
Yes, the back doors and side door opens but, no flyscreens.

Apart from Adria Twin and Globecar. This appears to be the norm. Anyone know of any other van conversions who give you opening windows and flyscreens to all openings?

I know coachbuilt Motorhomes give you this but, we want a van.

Maybe it's so you don't get gassed in France;)

sliders are safer in the sliding door as they can close with some force on an incline and you have to use a slider if its in the area behind the sliding door otherwise it would clash. If the van has traveling seats in the rear sliders allow ventilation for passengers whilst travelling ive not seen many sealed windows on vans other than small one in hightops do you have an example?

Thanks for the replies.
Last week we saw five converted vans. They all had one sliding window by the hob, another on the opposite side, all the rest were sealed.
Being ex fire and rescue, I want large opening windows. Globecar and adria twin 600 are fitted with everything on our want list (a short list = Air Conditioning, facilities on board for wild camping, fly screens for midges free sleep ) These two vans are the benchmark.
I had a good read through the forums last night and realised that some people own some beautiful mature vans and have no problems with them. It gave me hope ☺️☺️

Our Murvi has lots of windows and they all open and have built in blinds/flyscreens. Plus it doesn't have a chunk of kitchen blocking the sliding door opening - so the outdoors are almost invited into the van. :)

All the side windows open on our IH conversion. There are two opening windows on the rear doors too.
A godsend on our recent trip to France in very hot weather.

Get a coachbuilt, they're rather nice actually.

I would not rely on windows of my Rapido Van as a primary escape route in case of fire. It has a total of 5 doors, so that should be enough.

Some A Class vans have only one door so big enough Seitz windows should be provided as a means of escape.
