The Scottish Vaccination Passport App should be updated to show the Booster Jag wef 9th December according to the Scottish Government. It will show only in the 'Foreign Travel' section of the App, so anyone using the App for admission to Pubs, Clubs etc in Scotland will need to have the current double Vaccination Passport plus a negative Lateral Flow Test

Magic just booked the tunnel for 15th Jan. Hopefully get away.
Cheers for the info.

There is a wee period of uncertainty. A Ms Sadler of the COVID Society Group advised the 9th December date; John Swinney, Deputy FM, told the Scottish Parliament that the Vaccination Passport would be ready for the new International Travel Regs introduction on 15th December. Booking ferries etc in the intervening 6 days might need further investigation. I'll poke around tomorrow to try and get more information

marchie , thank you for that, really helpful, we are off to Tenerife for Xmas and new year so will be great to have all 3 jags showing on the app. Could I ask what you mean by needing a lft to get in pubs etc in Scotland, don’t think we need that do we? Or are you anticipating what’s next, but surely they will have to add booster to domestic app of there will be total havoc!!

Hi Bill,

I was lifting pertinent information from an article that was jumping all over the place! The announcement was that the International Travel Section of the COVID Passport App would contain the Booster details to meet the new Foreign Travel Regs for countriessuch as France and Spain, where QR Codesand similar will be needed. For Clubbers & Pubbers in Scotland needing to use the Vaccination Passport to be admitted, there would be no Booster Jag details added, so they will need to show the existing proof of double vaccination and a lateral flow test result.

The disparity/ambiguity between dates, 9th Dec according to Ms Sadler of the COVID Society Group [? name] and 'in time for the new foreign Travel Regulations that become effective on 15th Dec [John Swinney to Scottish Parliament] probably needs a little clarification before I feel comfortable booking a Ferry, alhough I can see 2 separate but consequent events. 9th Dec for the Booster Jag QR Code; and this will be needed under the new Foreign Travel Regs that become effective on 15th December.

Anyone came across any updates on this ?
Downloaded the new App yesterday [and it seems to have worked on during the day, so had to uninstall and then reinstall]. You download the Scottish COVID Passport App via Google or Apple Play Store using a laptop that tells you that the App willbe installed on your phone in a few moments. Then follow the App on phone, to set up a new account and go through Photo ID [Driving Licence worked better than Passport], then Facial Recognition via Camera Phone [very patchy] that seems to need 2 or 3 attempts to agree that it is you in person and on the photo. Then set up a 4 digit PIN Code [which has to be entered twice at every Sign on; horribly clunky, rushed programming], then agree to Fingerprint recognition as well as PIN!], then receive Microsoft Code via Text, and then the App should open up ... in the Domestic Section for Pubs & Clubs! Then select the aeroplane in top rh corner, then select aeroplane in bottom rh corner, and, if your records have been migrated your Booster Jag & QR Code will appear!

At one stage yesterday, I couldn't see my Booster, but my wife, who downloaded the App after me, could see her records, and I could access mine by signing on using her Phone, and the only difference was the time gap between the App Downloads. I think 'Quick & Dirty' describes the Coding for the App. The process has been glued together hurriedly, but, after much swearing and frustration, it does work and we should be able to get into France ...

I just had to update the app, and both vaccinations and booster got on Monday this week showing on it
