Ok so some/most people might not pick up on there are not many rallies/meets north of the border. With your help I would love to see this part of MHF change...so...Where would you like to see a Scotland rally and when?
PS I am willing to try and change and arrange this but need feedback.

Looks interesting - preferably at a midge free time and location ;)

So your thoughts are....where/when???
Haven't thought that far ahead - a tour of Scotland was in our plans for next year and we could merge the rally with that

It's such a long way.. I love Scotland and wish it was closer.. anyway, there are so many beautiful places, it would be hard to pick one.. probably southern Scotland around Stirling or west Lothian would be good for people to get to and a mix of things to do and see nearby..

Looking at locations I suppose the borders or somewhere near Hawick would suit more people than a bit of beautiful remoteness

Great idea Sandra, I would certainly be interested. First thoughts are the Borders or Dumfries/ Galloway area, mainly because of the travel for us English. Personally September is an ideal month, not least because the dreaded midge is less of a problem.
You obviously know the area well so no doubt you will think of somewhere - not too far off the motorway network (I know motorways are few and far between up north!) or good quality roads so as to encourage Funsters to make the trip up to your beutiful country.

Late August early September 2015 would be great seeing as I will be up there on my own anyway :-)

Scotland.PNG We would love to start or finish our Scotland tour with a meet somewhere in this area I would propose....

There is a large rally field at Cressfield Park (where we live) underused, and I'm sure I can get it for us.
We are close to the M74, so easy access, and the Southwest gem of Dumfries and Galloway.

Being a exiled Scot who in former years has toured Scotland pretty extensively I would love a Scotland meet. I kind of agree that for those whose travel distance is great that perhaps the most scenic area of the West Highlands is possibly too far . How about close to the Highland gateways either Perthshire say Kenmore by Loch Tay in the East or in the West say Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond.

Goodcsuggestions, keep them coming and hopefully we can have many more than just one north of the border.

Dumfries & Galloway would interest me because of the Dark Skies location. Would agree with midge free time, but now couldn't do until next year, too busy at present!

You can't win with this one, the best of Scotland is far from England so the English won't flock there. A field beside the Dee would be bliss but quite a distance.

(y) East or West .....see Scotland at its best in Sept/Oct. IMHO. :D

:) Personally would love someone to organize Stonehaven at New Year but apart from needing ehu , probably too far for some. We appreciate the fact that we live centrally :sneaky:

Some where round here = Broken Link Removed
Central`ish for some beautiful sight`s and country side, and Island`s.. (y)
.
Morvich CC then?

Morvich CC then?

There is a basic campsite just up the road with shower`s and water & EHU..... alongside the Loch.. with gorgeous view`s to the castle.. and a few years ago it was only £9 per night..(y)

I'd recommend Dumfries and Galloway, easy to get to loads to to do and see, also a lot quieter than the normal tourist areas.
We have a field in Dumfries next to our local rugby club (Park Farm) they hold CC rallies here and it's just a 5-10 min easy walk to town center.
As of Sunday we will be motorhomeless until new one arrives around about Dec so could join you in van but I only live 10 mins away so would offer my services to who ever marshals.
If you'd like me to get some info let me know.
