Scot Motorhomes has gone into administration!

I think it was second hand vans scot sold , so as SHM says above if the van still has manufacturers warranty
You could probably get another approved dealer to maintain it but if your warranty is with Scott you may be struggling

My typing is too slow lol

I also ordered a rear back window from them as mines got cracked I waited 6 weeks for the window to come phoned up to enquire about it only to be told they have went into administration will now have to order it somewhere else and wait another 6 weeks

If you hadn’t paid for it your half way there ?

We purchased our first motorhome from them, later discovered we were ripped off with price we paid, and threatened when we dared to complain....So... Good, enjoy life on the dole cheating lying scumbags.
i dont think it would be worth the paper its written on.

Get your van HPI’d quickly. You need to make sure they have cleared your van of their stocking plan.
What you don’t want is Mr Bailiff coming and taking your van 6 months down the line!
We picked our van up from them in April and I HPI'd it before collection. Probably being thick (but better to ask) but would I be right in assuming that a clear result then is a guarantee that there are no nasties hiding around the corner?

We're sorry to hear about this as we had a good experience exchanging our vans. Hope they manage to get up and running again in some form.

Be careful when dealing with these phoenix companies, most of them are borderline crooks, and even if they are not crooks they have no scruples. Once they've avoided paying their liabilities once, it can come a bit of a habit. At best your warranty will be worthless at worst you might lose your van when you find that the scrotes have financed it.

It's worth running a HPI check on your van if it's that recently acquired to make sure that the dealer hadn't got stocking finance on it that hasn't been cleared.
Definiately
it was a brand new van will I have to find a different adria dealer for warranty claims?
Yes & as above , also check that they have no 'stocking ' finance on it or that they haven't 'financed' it.

I think its just wrong that a company can go bust not pay the suppliers or honour previous warranties only to reopen a few days later. Why would anyone who knew that they operated that way in the past deal with them?
You're right in your thinking. It's a scandal how the administration procedure, designed to rescue companies, is now just a means to dump liabilities and trade on with a new company. Of particular concern is the pre-pack administration, whereby even before the administration becomes public knowledge, the administrators, often appointed by the directors, sell the business or assets to the same directors using a 'newco' without any of the unsecured creditors having a vote or a say.
If I were a supplier owed money, I'd only be prepared to supply the new company if they paid up front.

I picked up my van from Scot Motorhomes two weeks ago. As part of the deal, they were to install a rear camera (apparently with £700). Looks like that's not going to happen...

I had a horrible service the whole time from Scot Motorhomes. Now I know why!
I must have caught them on a good day, I picked up my new vehicle four weeks ago and I must say the service was faultless from striking the deal to the pick up.

And the government cuts have resulted in a hugely reduced number of inspectors in the Insolvency Service. This means that reports from liquidators into the conduct of the directors get ignored and they're allowed to trade on through Phoenix companies with impunity, stiffing trade creditors and often HMRC (our money) yet again.

If it was a new van the surely the manufacturers warranty will be upheld by them just need to take it to another franchise
