Hopefully going to be in Schengen area quite a bit soon. I’ve been looking at the iPhone Schengen calculator apps. Schengen Simple seems anything but! I’ve now got 180 Days app and that seems better. I’m after one that’s really easy to use, any suggestions? Pen and paper is not an option as I will lose the paper.

I use the app second up on the right

Or third up if you count the phone app
It's simple to use just put date's in you want to go they stay on and you can plan future date's

Hopefully, you guys won't need to worry about that for very long :) This article mentions second home owners but I'm sure that will extend to any visitors, since they're talking about scrapping the 90/180 rule altogether :)

Yes, I really don't understand how the 90 day rule was overlooked when an EU citizen can come to UK for up to 180 days apparently? It would make a lot of sense all round to get rid of the 90 day rule.

The main driver is that they've realised Brits are selling their second homes and no longer contributing to the local economy. To a large extent, they've missed the boat as most will have sold their homes cheaply (due to the depressed market following Covid) and many will not now be able to buy another one at a higher price. Still, it'll help UK citizens to get back out here for as long as they like without having to risk overstaying their welcome :)
