Just using https://ninety180.com/ to sort out some trips for this year. I don't quite understand why I cannot get the days marked in red in November. Surely by then my first trip in May should be dropping off - or have I misunderstood?

Seems I can't get a full 2 months in Autumn until 9th October. Weirdly 2 months from 8th cops 5 days off. something wrong with the calculator?

It looks like your days in May are already in the calculations by the number of days showing as ‘80’

By my calculations, if you are returning at the end of the red dates, your 180 days on countback from then should start on 04 June meaning that you have days to spare.

26th November 2024 minus 180 days takes you to 30th May 2024. If you count the days away from 30th May onwards, you’ve had 90 days by the 25th November, which is why it tells you you’re over the limit on 26th November.

From 3rd to 15th November, your calculator says it’s day 80. That’ll be because that’s the period during which your early May days are dropping off 1 for 1.

I have just used that calculator for the first time. It is pretty good.

does seem to be one of the quicker/simpler to use ones. Just wanted to check it was correct as I still can't quite get my head around it.

If you can count to 180 to identify your assessment period (start/finish dates) then you can easily count up the Schengen days in that period.

I was going fine with my own excel calculator. When I first posted on your situation, I counted 180 days back, but not the number of days you were away. Foolishly, I looked at the numbers in the red boxes and not the significant number of days marked at 80 in the calculator. I have switched my travel plans to this site and bought the guy some coffees for his efforts on what appears to be a very well functioning programme. I wonder if the Post Office should hire him?
Safe and happy travels.

Another thumbs up for ninety180. I’m crap at maths so this makes it pretty easy. We are going to freak the border control out after our jaunt later in the year. We’re going into non Schengen countries during our trip so we’ll be stopping the clock so to speak.

OK we've decided a week or so in Morocco in November might be wise!!

It'll be a change to dip our toe in to Morocco for maybe a bigger longer trip there in 2025.

And annoyingly, Western Europe, in Particular France and Spain has a lot of Eastern European Criminals who go almost undetected.

Schengen Europeans just overstay if they like, no need to register for Residency/TAX

And here we are, sadly having to worry about overstaying a few days.
