Kind regards

Hi Jackie, welcome to "fun". I use an x-gody off e Bay, Chinese, cheap ,circa £50, all maps available, up to date ,7" screen.can input all MHome info ,ie weight ,height etc.
Some folks don't like them but I like mine in fact I use 2..For the price they can't be beaten.
Best of luck.

Hi and welcome to the fun house!

If you have a tablet you can get sat nav apps for it rather than have a dedicated sat nav unit, we use a tablet and find it much better due to the larger screen and being able to manipulate/alter the route on it easier.

You can also use your phone too but we find the screen too small.

Not having a dedicated unit means you can try different sat nav apps to see which you prefer.

Welcome.
I bought an Avtex Tourer Two which is a Garmin. It is top dollar at over £300 but it's done in conjunction with Caravan & Motorhome Club and has their sites pre-programmed into it. The most useful feature is you can enter your motorhome weight and dimensions and it will take you on the most sensible route.

You could buy the Tourer Two through the CAMC with a small discount. It has now been superceded by the Tourer Three.

Garmin camper satnav, don’t buy cheap Chinese as one day they’ll send you up a goat track, I’ve used various Garmin models over the years and would highly recommend them and they’re easy to update

Tried them all on phone/tablet, Google maps is free and accurate butvthinks you are a car, sygic is good for mh as vehicle dimensions can be entered for route decisions. But I bought a garmin 780 so I could enter dimensions, lifetime free map updates and is big enough to see... also has Bluetooth connection to phone so handles calls plus, real time traffic updates on route and is really accurate. £300+ from halfords but I trust it...

Forgot to say earlier we use Sygic on our phones and tablets, having tried other apps this is the one we prefer. Another bonus with tablets and phones is that if you use Park4night you can select the one you want to go to and press itinerary then your sat nav app within it and it will take you there so no having to put the info into your sat nav app separately.

We use Co-Pilot on an Android phone. Not steered us wrongly yet, though to be fair we've only been away twice since we bought our MH. You can put your size and weight in (the van's, not literally yours).

We've used Sygic before. It worked well mostly, but seemed to get confused at the last mile, which was odd. Had to resort to Google maps for that.

We use Tom Tom Camper (takes account of your size and weight), it’s as good as any of the other recommendations.

Map and speed camera updates are undertaken over WiFi so no need for cables.👍
