SatNav and reversing camera not engaging

Hi all, We are proud owners of a new benimar tessoro 486, really pleased, however was disappointed that there are no parking sensors which I took for granted there would be, and the reversing camera does not have any parking lines, also camera does not engage when sat nav is on. Has anyone else got this issue and if so where did you start to try and sort it out. Have been back to Marquis but they say it's a ford problem(ford transit base). Thanks

I would have thought that as its a new van that it down to the company you bought it from if there are any defects, but it seems that the issues aren't actually defects but the way the equipment works so I doubt the issues can actually be resolved without you incurring additional cost

my first priority would be beefing up the security .. Transit base vans are being stolen every day

good alarm / immobiliser such as Vannbitz Strikeback + additional dead locks

You bought the van from the dealer. That is who the contract is with. They are responsible for any faults whatsoever. They are trying to fob you off.

I wouldnt have thought parking lines would be much use on a motorhome as they are bound to be set up for a car.
I would expect the reversing camera to still come on if the satnav is in use, possibly a menu item somewhere.
It doesnt really sound as if anything is faulty though.

All dealers prefer you taking the vehicle to the manufacturer if it is an issue with the base van. While the responsibility sits with the motorhome dealer, by going direct to a vehicle dealer you will be able to resolve issues quicker and easier by talking directly to the person who is going to do the repair (or if indeed your issues are a "feature") and will know more about any issues than the motorhome dealer.

Radio sat nav supplied on a Tessoro is a aftermarket item and nothing to do with Ford, the dealer is responsible its up to them to correct it.
