Which is best and if it's satellite which system is best? I know there's a big price difference but just wondered if anyone has experience of both systems.

Motorhome WiFi as you can use it in any weather the problem we found with our Oyster V was that it kept breaking down and also if it’s windy you can’t use it without fear of damage being caused to the mountings and van roof😊

I have an Oyster satellite, but hardly use it anymore as prefer to use a Firestick with a Huawei Mifi.

If you're a big telly watcher and there's already a satellite system on the van, give it a try. If not, I'd suggest mobile streaming. It looks like most of the satellite TV companies like Sky aren't planning to launch any more satellites, they'll be expecting their customers to stream over their home broadband connection. I think satellite TV will die off over the next few years.

I’ve got both and I stream 90% of the time in the U.K.
100% of the time in europe👍

In Europe atm streaming all the way. Not even got an aerial. Use I boost and free wifi where we can
I’m seriously considering starlink for the next 90. Seems to be the way to go

Starlink is expensive per month I think - although not too bad set-up costs

£85 per month for Roam but you can suspend it and reactivate it so only pay when you need it

I have always been big fan of sat TV especially a large motorised dish, however I have found myself using it less and less nowadays and find Starlink a great addition to my 'kit bag', particularly if touring out of the UK, but I think Starlink for me is really only viable price wise if it know I am away for at least a month.

I don't know if you can just have it in for a week/weekend, then cancel, then restart it for the next weekend or are you charged for the whole month?

In the UK streaming data is cheap enough via contract phones so the Starlink wouldn't be needed

At the moment I am in France in our mobile home and adjacent mobiles are accessing my Starlink via Motorhome WiFi setups, we're all getting a great signal and unlimited data for £85 per month which I think is great value for three Firesticks, 6 mobile phones, two laptops, four ipads and a couple of other devices all at the same time!

There must be a lot of you to use all that hardware 😄
I find streaming is great if you have a good 4g signal. I seem to go places with no useable signal.
So I've found my oyster system very useful, picking up a signal down to south of France and north Italy.

The motorhome wifi antenna ALONE makes a signifiant difference. The 2 last sites we visited (Bracelands in Forest of Dean and West Runton near Cromer) had 0 signal on Three on our phones, well, speedtest said 0.2Mbit .... so useless/unusable. The van was getting ~ 3Mbit at latter, and 8Mbit at former, and I was watching the cricket on NowTV this weekend happily when not out on walks or on rain breaks.
Note I am NOT using a Smarty SIM, I have a Three UK business mobile unlimited data sim at a cost of £4+vat a month. (If you have your own Limited Co as I do, Three are VERY reasonable for additional sims). I'd also note scancom.co.uk (I have used via amazon for the inlaws van) sell UK EE unlimited sims at sub £10 a month, prepaid for a few years in advance. I have used both myself and have no relation to either as a happy customer. (For sub £15/mo I can have both sims avaialble for use). As we plan to motorhome in UK for next year, this suits... we will need a better deal for EU roaming.

I'm not one to reccomend something that doesn't work, but so far, 4 campsites into our MOtorhoming, and 3 sites have had 0 signal on our phones, but the motorhomewifi antenna system has worked in EVERY case.

I'd also say btw, any mifi with external antenna ports and a good on roof antenna will make more difference to your experience than anything else.
