Hi I have a crank up Maxview satellite dish on the roof of my motorhome and it has a Micro Electronic Micro M310 hd receiver.
I cant get it to tune in to anything. When I first tried I got German channels and I did a system reset with the remote on the receiver box and now have nothing. The menu has so many things I do not understand to tune into a satellite so I have probably pressed the wrong buttons! Does any one have a simplified way to first get the receiver box set up then how to tune the sat dish to a satellite and what satellite I should be going for...most of my travelling is UK based. Thx Pete. Everything is powered up ok and I used to have a signal so I dont think there is a fault in the kit....just the operator:)

Using the scale ring on the ceiling Find Astra 2 at 28.2 degrees East and elevation around 17 degrees (been a long time since I did it)
Go into the receivers settings and look for Astra 2E/F/G and select... You may have a signal strength scale which will help fine tune your dish to get the best signal.
Then select tune.
I don't know that receiver so I'm only guessing it has these settings.

System reset should only take it back to how it was out the box when new, everything should still be pre programmed.

I think you maybe had Astra 1 at first which is mainly German channels.

The direction scale is around the ring you pull down to turn the dish then springs back up to lock.
Nothing to do with the winding handle which is to elevate the dish.
