Hi guys
Sargent unit has started ‘clicking’ with heating on, display of amps flashing and going up and down in numbers. Tried to attach video with display and sound, any ideas please, Sargent EC450, 2011 fiat ducato. Switching the space heating button off stops the noise but obviously puts the heating off.
Many thanks

Could it be a battery warning!! Batteries low and the heating on drawing to much??
Just a thought as I don't really know.
Hopefully someone that does will be along shortly.

Cheers Cris 🍻

Cheers Cris, my knowledge on electrics is poor. Battery about 5yr old but we are on EHU on a site at present

It could be a relay that's clicking ,maybe the voltage is fluctuating with the draw of the heating being on,if you are not getting the noise when heating is off.

Cheers Cris 🍻.

My knowledge of electronics is poor to none. We have had similar noise to that from our refrigerator when the site EHU voltage drops. It can happen when the site is busy.

Have you tried running the heating on gas only to see if it happens then ?
It could also be that a connection on the rear of the PSU is loose.

Take the unit out and touch all the relays one by one, you should be able to feel if any are clicking.

I'm guessing you're not on ehu, but running off the hab battery ? Maybe start the engine to see if that stabilises the voltage ?

Thanks for the replies.
I’m hoping it maybe the site voltage fluctuating as mentioned by Verteuil Man. The site was full and the heating worked fine on gas.
I’m back home and plugged in and all working well now.
Thanks again
Paul
