Hi all, Just to let all MHF members (paid up) that the RVOC are holding a meet next year at Rutland water site in Leicestershire from the 8th to 15th July 2012. The site is 110 acres and is a rally site, it does NOT have any EHU or toilet/shower blocks and is very basic, but has plenty of stand pipes throughout the site, also it has 2 Elson points and 2 RV dump points, no serious rules, and run by us, and all paid up MHF members are invited to attend and enjoy each others company. The cost is £6 p/n per m/h with NO extra charges, payable on arrival for the amount of days stayed. ( those who wish to come before or stay afterwards are very welcome, Please have a good chat about it between yourselves and look out for the list when i post it. There will be NO pressure about coming NO booking, just add your name to the list who would like to attend, but if you have to cancel right up to the day af arrival then thats no problem, as payment is only payable on arrival for the night you want to stay, remember this is a no pressure meet. Regards Garry Flatpackchicken

Many thanks Gary for sorting this meet at Rutland Water, we are on the RVOC list and if Nigel and Pamala ( Sundowners ) need any help just shout.:help:

For anyone who has not been to this site, its a lovely site over looking Rutland Water and it has loads of room, taps all round the fields and a couple of dumps for WC. I think about 50 RVs have already got their name down to go ! :thumb: So it will be a good one. :thumb:

You can cycle right round it, we have done the shortest route only 18 miles but you can do the Island spit which is a little further. :Rofl1::Rofl1:

Or just chill with a good book, and relax with a cold beer. Looking forward to it and seeing some funsters on the list.

Just a few pictures from the site. :thumb: Bob and Jane.

Hi Carol, it is not the one by the yacht club, but further round towards Manton village, and down the small track leading to the wildlife center and the south shore car park, great site with fabulous views over Rutland water, hope to see you there Carol, also by the way, you can go anytime you want and spend a few days R&R at £6 p/n only no other charges like other sites. Regards Garry Flatpackchicken

Well what a great weekend we had, :thumb: cant wait for the RVOC / Motorhome FUN Rally being held here in July.

We had 4 nights here and its only £6 a night, lovely views over Rutland Water and a really nice cycle round it, had it not been so HOT ! we would have gone round again, anyone that's not been should get their name down the the list , you wont be disappointed. We have been a few times now and even on a miserable day it is lovely, here is the thread link/ list of people going from Fun.

Broken Link Removed

Already there are 50 members from the RVOC site with their names down, so its going to be a rally that should not be missed. a chance to meet a lot of members in one place.

This weekend we had the pleasure of meeting Gary Flatpack Chicken who started this thread , and I think he is there all week, so if you want somewhere to go and great company look for an RV with the funster sticker in the window. :thumb:

So many thanks to ( Flatpack Chicken ) Gary and Lesley and also members ( Kenny and Dolly ) Ken and Wendy for a brilliant weekend and really nice meeting you all at a fantastic location, see you again in July. :thumb:

Maybe we can all cycle round it next time.:Rofl1::Rofl1: Bob and Jane.
