Since I bought my A class motorhome (Bavaria I 700) in August, there is a trickle of rusty water that runs off the bottom of the windscreen on the passenger side. I clean it off regularly but I'm wondering if it needs proper investigation. It runs our from the bottom of a panel up the side of the windscreen, but there is no sign of it at the top, so I'm assuming there is some bit of metal behind this panel that is causing it. What I'm unsure of is, whether this panel is purely cosmetic, to hide where the screen is bonded/glued onto the pillar, in which case I could probably carefully remove it, or does it have some structural purpose, which may require professional attention.
Any advice would be appreciated

i would not be able to stop myself from finding out and rectifiing the source of the problem.

not sure how you would get behind the pillar to see whats what, perhaps its remove the sealant and unclip, realy not obvious from the photo.

hope you get it sorted.

The trims are usually clipped into place with a stainless clip and screw, maybe someone has used a mild steel screw by mistake, you need to get under there and check it out and replace the offending item, a call to the dealer regarding removal of screen trim would be helpful or maybe YouTube

As per Rolling wheels , need the frame unclipping and the offending screw/clip replaced and perhaps the others treated with a bit of epoxy paint, its mild steel thats for sure They have to remove those trims for replacing the windscreen so it may be worth checking if its had a new screen at any time and who fitted it,

I have all ( I think) the paperwork for repair/ service work and no mention of windscreen so I assume it's the original. Makes sense that it must be removable to replace screen so will investigate. Thanks for your help.
