Hi all The rubber seal/ collar on my tv Ariel has perished. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement and are they easy to fit? Need to do it ASP before any rain gets in. TIA

This is a very common fault with the unit and if you call Telco they'll tell you you have to replace the mast and the seal as one unit and, as you say, it's over £100 just for those!

I have heard of some caravanners leaving the original seal in place and covering this with a CV joint boot at a cost of c£10. This is, I think, the one they use https://www.autodoc.co.uk/febi-bilstein/1874670?tb_prm=20325421606&gshp=1&gad_source=1

I used to have a link to instructions on how to remove the aerial that allowed you to push the boot onto the mast however I've also heard that some folk just made a split up the side of the boot that enabled them to place around the mast (fully extended) and hold this in place with a cable tie at the top and sealant at the base with the split being "repaired" using rubber cement type stuff or sealant.

ps given the "inherent" nature of this fault you may just want to replace with a Status 570 or similar (believe they have the same tube diameter) but the Teleco antenna is fully "sealed to the roof/hole" so can be difficult to remove..
