- Caravan for 20+ years, New to motorhomes.
After 20+ years of towing a caravan we are a few months into working with our first motorhome.
Fiat Ducato PVC.
With the caravan I used a directional 4G Ariel which I used put as high as possible on a pole attached to the awning rail with zip ties. This was then connected to a Netgear Nighthawk router. I brought the cables back into the van via the exterior battery locker. Worked very well for us for a number of years. I still have this setup and will still use when relevant.
I have just purchased a Starlink system (while the price is 50% off) which I intend to attach to the same pole attached to the van with those rubber suction handles.
My problem is how to get the cables back into the PVC without leaving a window slightly open, obviously can do this but feel it is a bit of a bodge.
The PVC does not have any exterior lockers to use to route the cables in.
Has anyone got an experience/examples of how to overcome this ?
Would be happy to get some kind of exterior access (like the EHU connection) fitted if this was the best solution.
But just checking if anyone has come up with a better solution.
Cheers,
Terry.
