We are going on our delayed ruby wedding anniversary trip back to Interlaken where we honeymooned all those years ago. Can anyone recommend a route from Calais. Not averse to paying some tolls if it avoids some congested areas. We shall be crossing on 23rd August.

Went there last summer ( in the car ) stopped over at Colmar on the way . Took a slight detour so we could go on st Bernard’s pass on the way .

Just come back from that area, basically Lille to Namur then down to Luxembourg, then south Metz, Nancy and over to Colmar, cross into switzerland at Basel, and then down to Interlarken(need a Vignette for Swiss motorways). J20 of the A36 at Mulhouse has a big Carrefour for last of the cheap shopping and fuel.
