Ross on wye

Go upto The Forest of Dean, plenty of good spots up there. I don’t know whether it is still possible to overnight beside the Wye at the bottom of Lydbrook. It is on the Ross to Coleford road.

I live in Ross and as 'chatteris' suggested motorhomes regularly stay there.
Few seconds walk to the river, 5 minute steep walk into town, public toilets and new cafe open during the day.
Pub being renovated, but another just a couple of minutes walk still near the river.

Council website states motorhomes can park at red meadows. A quick email to ask if you can overnight might be worthwhile. We have stayed overnight in Hereford and have it in writing that all ok to do so.

Have stopped over many times. Very pleasant. I believe that there are no restrictions on a Sunday (Hymerman can probably confirm) found it nice and quiet overnight.

Big carpark on the right just after the river bridge on way into Ross from Hereford road roundabout A449. Can't remember if a height barrier - proceed with caution!
Bit out of the way maybe but park in Redbrook FOD and walk across the Wye to the boat inn.

Always been a height barrier the past few years I've visited Ross.
