Funny old day here at Camping Salata, Santa Margarida, gale force winds around noon caught a few out with awnings, it’s now almost 23:00 hours, 24 degrees and wind really picking up again forecasting gusts upto 50kmh overnight. Humidity also high, gonna be a wild and sticky night.

I think the Bay of Roses is known for its winds. Even in May/ June I’ve experienced high winds in L’escala & Roses. At least it’s warmer than the average.

We used to always use Salata but last few times they claimed they had no acsi pitches and wanted to charge us extra. So now we use Rodos, better site and no need to book ahead as they told me they have plenty of pitches.

We left a couple of days ago and was staying at the bay about a mile past the port fantastic beach at night in the large car park 5euros and roadside facing beach during the day but we are PVC so easier than a large van

I think it’s called the Tramontana or something like that.

Wind from the Alps or Pyrenees.

I love the L’escala area windy or not.(y)
